Recipe: Apple, orange and caramel compote

Ingredients

  • 850 g apples
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar (± 30 ml)
  • 1 tbsp vanilla sugar(± 15 ml)
  • 1 large pinch of ground cinnamon
  • Zest of half an orange
  • 1 tbsp orange juice (± 15 ml)

PREPARATION

1. Peel the apples, remove the cores and cut them into 6 pieces.
2. Arrange them in the MicroCook Round 2.25L and add the rest of the ingredients.
3. Mix together with the Silicone Spatula, cover and microwave for 10 min. at 600 watts.
4. Allow to cool and pour cooked ingredients into the Smooth Chopper with Blades and chop desired consistency; one or two turns for chunky, several turns for smooth.

Tip: This compote can also be used as a base for your apple tarts. It can also be frozen in a Freezer Mates II Small High 1.1L for later use.
